This isn’t taken lightly. In lean years it’s even more important! https://www.houstonchronicle.com/sports/astros/article/Reid-Ryan-expresses-no-bitterness-over-Astros-14850707.php
Reid Ryan does not express any bitterness at the reallocation of the Astros https://www.fr24news.com/2019/11/reid-ryan-does-not-express-any-bitterness-at-the-reallocation-of-the-astros.html
Public knowledge dude. https://www.kristv.com/sports/reid-ryan-demoted-nolan-ryan-quits-work-with-astros
Reid Ryan’s hallmark across six years with the Astros was a wonderful connection with a fan base he helped grow. https://www.houstonchronicle.com/sports/astros/article/Reid-Ryan-expresses-no-bitterness-over-Astros-14850707.php?utm_campaign=CMS Sharing Tools (Premium)&utm_source=t.co&utm_medium=referral
Classy guy, Reid Ryan is. https://twitter.com/chandler_rome/status/1197314627824242688
Standup guy! I'm so glad you'll be around for the 2020 season and I hope you're around much longer than that. The Astros and their fans need you @robertreidryan
1/2 Noticed recently where Nolan Ryan stepped away from the #Astros and Reid Ryan was re-assigned/demoted. The family has years of MiLB experience (Round Rock). It also just came out that the Astros were one of the leading voices on re-organizing/contracting MiLB. Theory:
Bless your heart. How sad that you can't read dates. Reid Ryan was demoted and Nolan quit over it on 11/7 and the athletic story didn't even break until a full five days later. And even sadder you think that would be more important to him than the mistreatment of his own son.
Reid Ryan turns 48 tomorrow. He said he has "some good years ahead of him" and wants to remain in baseball. "I am keeping all my options open," he said. - http://bit.ly/37sTJ8a
Just read the ESPN article. Does this have anything to do with Reid Ryan being demoted and Nolan leaving? Doesn't look like Nolan left on such great terms.
Great piece, thanks. Reid Ryan sounds like a class act.
Reid Ryan was demoted. He's still with the team
One thing that did not make it into that Reid Ryan story. Ryan said he thanked Jim Crane for allowing his son, Jackson, to grow up around a clubhouse and have a similar childhood that Reid had.
@HunterAtkins35 wrote about Jackson in 2017 - https://www.houstonchronicle.com/sports/astros/article/Against-the-odds-Jackson-Ryan-continues-family-11072558.php
I was more clapping back at the “sexist, pro-domestic violence” claim though. That was one guy, who got fired...and Reid Ryan and Nolan Ryan approving a statement that resulted in a demotion for Reid and Nolan being let go.
I'm waiting for Reid Ryan to say that Alex Mather's going to get his tit caught in a big fat ringer
Do you think Nolan Ryan Leaving/Reid Ryan Demotion issue had anything to do with the current sign stealing story in any way? Either the story's release or their reaction after they heard about it before the public knew, if they did not release it themselves.
Reid Ryan (@robertreidryan) is at the MLB owners meetings in Arlington as he transitions from being #Astros president of business operations to executive adviser, business relations: “I want to thank Jim. It’s been an incredible opportunity to get to serve as president of my..”
That is awesome!
